Acoustic musicians, poets and comedians are being sought to take part in 12 hours of live entertainment in York on Saturday, in aid of charity.
The event will run from 11am to 11pm at the Space 109 community arts centre, in Walmgate, and will also involve the Guerilla Café Rebels.
Proceeds will go to a refugee charity which campaigns against child detention.
“Children are at the top of our list to help and we feel strongly that what’s happening to families seeking refuge in this country is despicable,” said co-organiser Florencia Clifford.
Artistes keen to participate should phone Florencia on 07966 014962 or 01904 624879.
“Arts and craft activities for children will be available throughout the day, and we’ll have some good bands in the evening, plus a small bar on donation,” she said.
The day’s vegetarian menu will have a Middle Eastern and North African fusion theme. Organic juices, coffees and teas, brunch and lunch will be available and the organisers are hoping to serve warm food in the evening.
