Building work has started on new facilities for Bootham Junior School in Rawcliffe Lane in Clifton.
By September the school will have a new nursery, a new library, new art and craft area and more space for the ever- expanding music department. Headteacher Sue Ratcliffe said: “The school has been very successful in providing the type of small and friendly school environment which suits early years and junior education.
“We do not plan to increase the number of classes, but with these new facilities we will be able to provide even more for our existing pupils.”
