Bethany’s Lake produced the leaders in Sunday’s angling open at Langwith Lakes of which Tony Stephenson did best with an 89lb 14oz tally from peg 17.
Stephenson fished pellet across to the island to take a rake of carp to 3lb as did runner-up Chris Reilly at peg 30, who ended the day with 73lb 1oz to his credit.
Hot weather made for improved weights at Oaktree Leisure on Sunday and Roger Summerscales made it back-to-back wins with an impressive 91lb 8oz from a peg 29 draw.
Working with pellet and meat at ten metres, the Guiseley angler took mainly carp to six pounds.
Josh Newton drew last week’s winning peg two, where meat and corn brought a solid response from carp to 5lb and at the whistle he had an even 81lb in the net.
Round ten of the Bob-Co Spring League produced one of the best results of the series with the top ten anglers all topping 50lb.
Martin Dodsworth (Bob-Co) led the bagging from peg 27 on the match lake.
Alternating meat and pellet at ten metres, he netted 45 carp for a winning haul of 84lb 8oz.
The match lake also came up trumps for Andy Gallant (Bob-Co) who took second from peg 53.
Fishing close in with meat and paste, match organiser Gallant bagged 38 carp for 78lb 12oz.
Others: John Fletcher (Ripon) 72-14-0; Neil Rymer (Garbolino Osset) 72-2-0; Wayne Westmoreland (Yorkshire Bait) 70-8-0; Steve Mazza (Bob-Co) 68-0-0.
York Amalgamation are holding another match at the popular Park View Lake on Bank Holiday Monday.
The match is open to members only and will cost £10 all in.
The lake has been in great form recently with bream to nearly 7lb falling to feeder and pole tactics.
Plenty of skimmers, plus occasional tench and carp, have also been showing an interest.
