I was sorry to read about the horse and carriage accident outside the Minster, as reported in The Press on Monday.
But I was pleased to observe that the White Rose of Yorkshire displayed on the rear of the carriage was not upside down, as is often the case where the emblem is displayed. The main petals of the rose should form the capital letter Y – for Yorkshire, of course.
