WITH more than 200 MPs, surely Labour could come up with a more profound list of leadership candidates.
David and Ed Miliband studied politics at Oxford as their “career” choice; not elitist as they are Labour!
Straight into Labour ranks as special advisers, etc. No experience of work in the real world. Same old rhetoric, reading from the Labour script.
Andy Burnham seems to be genuinely interested in the welfare of the UK and its people.
Down-to-earth Lancastrian; studied at Cambridge (English), and MP for Leigh; area where he grew up.
The only minister (apart from former minister Ruth Kelly) to bring up issue of immigration long before others did, only for fear of losing their seats.
Diane Abbot condemned private education for years at Westminster, but sent her own son to private school. Typical hypocritical left-winger.
Ed Balls, Gordon Brown’s right-hand man for ten years and economic adviser.
The result – “sorry, no money left”. All squandered and deficit trebled.
John McDonnell, who’s he?
Michael Forrester, Hallfield Lane, Wetherby.
• LOOKING at a photo of the two Miliband brothers, am I alone in thinking that they are clones of the infamous Kray twins.
It has to be said that Reg and Ronnie Kray inflicted punishment, mostly on their own kind.
I just hope that the Miliband brothers don’t gain too much power and punish many of us with their political, intellectual claptrap.
Ken Holmes, Cliffe Common, Selby.
