SHERIFF Hutton Bridge batsmen made hay against York ‘B’ as they rattled up 340 in the York & District Junior Cricket Association Burn & Company Solicitors Under-9s League.
Joe Browne top-scored with 41 in the Zone ‘A’ clash, with further runs coming from Gabriel McGill (23), Jack Clarke (16), James Davidson (14) and Josh Mould (10).
Clarke (2-4) and Mould (2-5) kept York at bay and they finished on 244.
Pocklington ‘A’ (330) secured a home win against Heworth (222) in Zone ‘B’. Heworth’s Will Roundtree hit 11 and Adam Dickinson ten, while Alex Bell bowled two overs for only five runs. Heworth (158) also lost to Acomb ‘B’ (311).
In Zone ‘C’, only three wickets fell as Yapham (269) beat Pocklington ‘B’ (245). Yapham’s George van Dam made nine and had figures of 0-4, while James Cardy took 1-7.
Dunnington ‘A’ (344) had a good win at home against Londesborough Park (224), losing only one wicket. Harrison Mussell made 35, Charlie Cresswell 22 and Joseph Richardson 17.
Dunnington’s fielding was sharp as five of the six Park wickets were run outs.
