STUDENTS at a York university ended the summer term in style.
About 1,400 students donned their finery on Friday for the annual York St John University Summer Ball.
The night kicked-off at 7pm with a VIP champagne reception and went into the early hours.
As in previous years, the event took place at venues across the university campus in Lord Mayor’s Walk and featured more than 28 different live music acts playing across the site The Students’ Union building was home to a full “casino”, chocolate fountain and other attractions in addition to showcasing a variety of DJ talent, ranging from Radio 1 DJ Greg James to resident student DJs. Gary Milner, vice president of student activities and Summer Ball co-ordinator, said: “The night was amazing.
“There were plenty of different attractions and entertainments around the campus and we managed to secure what could be described as the best line-up we have had to date.”
