Beningbrough Hall gardener Mark Pethullis gets up close to a snail found in the walled garden at the National Trust property, near York.
There will be organised bug trails and mini-beast hunts during this week.
Clare Fletcher, learning officer, said: “During the half term week, we’ll have lots of different activities taking place for all ages – helping to create a giant bug for the garden is something we’re really looking forward to creating.
