THE coronation of Her Majesty the Queen will be celebrated in York this week with a Royal Salute.
The Royal Salute will be fired in Museum Gardens tomorrow by a 28-strong firing party from 53 (Louisburg) Battery, 5 Regiment Royal Artillery based at Catterick.
The gunner regiment will fire a twenty-one gun salute to mark the Queen’s Coronation.
The three 105mm light guns will fire the salute on the stroke of noon.
It consists of the firing of 21 rounds at fifteen-second intervals.
The light field guns, which were brought into service for Royal Salutes two years ago, have previously been used in service in the Falklands and latterly in Afghanistan.
