After three weeks in Scotland dealing with sleet, snow and hailstones, requiring the central heating on 24/7, I returned to York in sunshine – wonder of wonders!
However, my relief was short lived.
After two days the weather returned to what by now is normal – rain, freezing cold, out come the thermals, on goes the central heating.
So the next time some moron, in an attempt to justify the latest means of adding to the taxation coffers, mentions “global warming”, my simple answer will be “try the other one, mate, it’s got bells on”.
