A WIZARD day is in store for visitors to the Yorkshire Air Museum when a Merlin helicopter flies in.
One of the workhorses of the Royal Air Force, the Merlin is the second largest helicopter in service with the RAF after the Chinook.
The machine will fly in at 10am on Saturday with personnel from 78 Squadron, some of whom have been serving in Afghanistan.
They will show visitors around the aircraft β a rare opportunity to see inside a current service helicopter A spokesman for the Yorkshire Air Museum, which is based at Elvington, said: βThe Merlin is a new generation of tactical support aircraft, capable of operating in day and night.β
