YOU are strong, capable and resourceful. You wouldn’t have got as far as you have if that weren’t the case. It might not always feel that way,but just look at what you have achieved, often against the odds.
You’re still here, fighting and maybe even smiling through, despite economic crises, personal challenges and set-backs. You’ve probably learnt that when you dig deep, you can always come through and that's good to know, isn’t it?
Still, no man or woman is an island.
Certainly, you have the skills and capabilities to figure it all out for yourself and to triumph over any adversity.
You don’t always have to do it alone though, so this week I’m inviting you to think about areas of your life and work where you could get a little extra help.
Where are you overloaded? What are you expending too much energy on? Where are you being just a little too proud to seek advice? What’s stopping you from taking a break from being a super hero? You may be more than capable of applying those super powers but everyone needs their Clark Kent time, to be a fallible human being.
You see, people love to give help and support. It benefits both giver and receiver.
It often leads to breakthroughs as two heads create a better solution to a tricky problem.
Anyone who has ever stepped in to help out a friend or colleague knows that there will be times when they get that favour well and truly returned.
So is there a deadline, a project, a personal challenge or simply a nagging worry that can be met, completed, resolved or soothed with a little help from a friend?
Simply ask and you shall receive!
