FAITHLESS have been wandering the wilderness for a while, but The Dance is a welcome return to form.

Partly it’s because they have gone back to the kind of sound that gave them their greatest success and with Dido back complementing Rollo and Maxi Jazz, it feels as if we have all been transported back to the 90s and the time of We Come 1 and Insomnia.

Some might see this as a step back, but opening track Not Going Home and closer Sun To Me, which connect closest with that club-floor mood, rank alongside anything achieved in the past. Sometimes you need to take a step back to move forward.
