ALEX IBBOTSON has surely set some kind of junior cricket record.

The Pickering Under-15s starlet, pictured, blasted five sixes off the first five balls of his team’s innings against Sewerby U15s before having to leave the fray.

Four of them flew out of the ground and the other one was only stopped from doing likewise by the netting beside the pitch.

Ibbotson’s amazing onslaught only ended as junior rules mean players have to retire after passing 25 runs.

Pickering U15s manager Andrew Hardey said: “He only faced five balls and hit them all for six. They were big hits as well.

“It was the first five balls of the innings as well. It’s the perfect retirement.”

Pickering went on to win the game by six wickets.
