I ENJOYED Pamela Frankland’s lively sense of humour with regard to “Cam(i)Nicks” (What’s in a name?, Letters, May 25). It sent me spinning down memory lane to the day I received a good old pasting from my dear old mum, who had a pair of bloomers (remember them, lads?), airing on a clothes horse round the fire and I cut the elastic from the legs to make a catapult. Those were the days.
