THIS year’s Alan Stuttle Art Bursary has been awarded at Huntington School in memory of Caroline Stuttle.
The Alan Stuttle Art Bursary is an annual award made available to Year 13 art students at Huntington.
It is in commemoration of Alan’s daughter, Caroline, who was murdered in Australia eight years ago.
Caroline was a keen art student at Huntington and Alan supports art students by offering a £500 art bursary. This year pupil Jessica Walton was nominated by staff for the award.
Jessica has been accepted on to a foundation course in September at college.
Cassandra Garbutt, subject leader for art at Huntington, said: “As a keen traveller, Alan suggested the winner may use the funds to support an art visit, and this is exactly what Jessica intends to do, with the intention of travelling to Morocco in the summer to gain further inspiration for her work.
“We are extremely honoured at Huntington School to have Alan’s continued support in the arts in memory of his daughter, Caroline.”
