A SPEAKING, thinking guidebook has been launched for Apple’s iPhone for people visiting York.
The company Pocket Places has developed the £1.79 application for the city which acts as an interactive guide for visitors.
The application – entitled Pocket York – can detect the user’s location and highlight nearby points of interest.
It also includes three hours of audio commentary and more than 200 photographs.
York is believed to be only the second city in the UK covered by Pocket Places.
