HEATH Scaife (180 for 17 and 19) and John Mooring (130 bull c/o) starred as Shepherds edged to victory over Greyhound in the John Smith’s Men’s Darts League.
Greyhound’s top performers in the division one clash were Dave Pilmoor (20) and Jamie Harding (21).
Mitre had Pip Hair (20), Lutz Leutzsch (21 and 180) and John Quantock (180 for 16 and 17) in form against Acomb, who edged a 6-4 win thanks to Steve Atkins (19, 19 and 180), Keith Turner (2 x 20), Mark Mason (21) and Lee Brundrett (19, 20).
Stu Limbert and Pilmoor helped Greyhound to a 9-1 win over Sun, while Acomb’s best were Atkins and Turner in a 7-3 win at Crescent ‘A’.
Mitre had Rich Corner, Quantock, Hair and Leutzsch again on form in a 9-1 win over Sun.
Severus extended their lead in division two, Gary Joy (24), Gary Kitson (19, 20) and Alan Woodward giving them an 8-2 win over Tree.
Tang Hall went second despite losing 6-4 at Fulfordgate.
