A 21-year-old man dubbed York’s “most wanted” has been arrested.
Martin Cooke was arrested at 7.40pm on Thursday after he was spotted by an officer in the Bootham area of York.
An arrest warrant for the 21-year-old was issued by magistrates in the city after he failed to attend a court hearing on May 28.
He was also wanted on prison recall having breached the terms of his release licence.
Cooke is currently being held in police custody awaiting a transfer back to prison.
