Bishopthorpe Road’s car-free Street Party last week was indeed a huge success. The hard work of the traders most definitely paid off.
The party was well planned and co-ordinated and had plenty of food, drink and entertainment for all to enjoy.
It was excellent to see and chat to so many local people who were thoroughly enjoying themselves.
A number of people had travelled from elsewhere in the city to enjoy the party.
So well done to all traders and local residents who attended to help achieve a huge community success.
Let’s hope the party was the first of many!
