Staff members, parents, grandparents and children from the Lilliput Day Nursery, Upper Poppleton, York, who held a Blooming Great Tea Party in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Nicola Cooper, a staff member, said: “The morning went really well. Quite a few parents came and supported it, so it was quite busy.”
A similar tea party was held last year at the nursery to raise money for charity. However, this year is the first time the nursery’s garden has been used. Nicola said: “The children love the new garden.
“It has a shelter and a water system which filters the water. It also has taps so the kids can play with it. Its interactivity makes it great for the kids.”
