Acomb bounced back from a cup defeat to maintain their 100 per cent record in the York & District Junior Cricket Association Burn & Company Solicitors Under-11s League.

Acomb’s (326) victory over Bishopthorpe (231) keeps them neck and neck with Ovington in the Zone ‘A’ title race.

Ben Botterill top-scored for Acomb with 18, including two sixes, and Charlie Marshall, Pete Atkin and Will Fryer all chipped in with 13 apiece. James Spaven (2-6) and James Cook (2-11) were the pick of the bowlers.

Bish’s Paddy Burtenshaw top-scored with nine not out including his first six.

Bolton Percy (280) tied with Selby (280) after Selby’s James Fletcher was run out off the last ball of the penultimate over.

Percy’s Andrew Shepherd hit 48 not out from 21 balls, with 11 fours, with Selby’s run chase led by Patrick Abbot (11).

Tadcaster Magnets (296) overcame Drax (220) with Ryan Lowe and Jack Barker putting in excellent performances.

Barker hit 13 and took 4-20, while wicketkeeper Lowe had six stumpings, took a catch and made 17 runs. Support came from Tom Woffendin (12) and Adam Jewitt (12).

In Zone ‘B’, Clifton Alliance (281) beat Malton & Old Malton (251) with Joshua Clark (21) and Joe Kilvington (14 and 2-8) starring for Alliance.

Heworth ‘A’ (315) maintained their challenge for the play-offs with a win at Osbaldwick (218).

Heworth’s Luke Huffer took 2-3, Ryan Whitely 1-3 and Dan Davidson 2-21, while Oliver Hughes hit 17 runs, Will Huffer 15 and Dan Davison 13. Osbaldwick’s man of the match was George Vardy, with 2-17.

Sheriff Hutton Bridge (245) scrambled a single off the last ball to tie against Clifton Alliance (245). Bridge’s Joe Simpson, pictured, made 16, while Kilvington took 2-6 for Alliance.

Yapham (281) picked up their second win in Zone ‘C’, beating Wheldrake (194).

Callum Mooney (12) and Callum Willis (10) were the leading Yapham batsmen, supported by Stephen Hutchinson (9). Elliot Beadle took 3-13 and Jack Foster 2-12 with Mooney, Jack Watson and Harry Kealey taking one wicket each.

Woodhouse Grange (249) were overhauled in the table after their defeat to Londesborough Park (253).

Grange’s Tom Stubley made 18 and Sam Wake 11, while Louie Kirkham took 2-4 and Harrison Hopper 1-3.

Lewis Medley top scored for Park with 29, supported by Lucas Stephenson 14. Lawton Sanderson took 2-9.

York ‘B’ (304) came out on top in their game against Heworth ‘B’ (259). Heworth’s Luke Walsh hit ten and took 2-15.
