FIRE and emergency crews were called to two separate traffic incidents which happened simultaneously on either side of the A1.
A two-vehicle crash occurred on the southbound carriageway of the A1 at the Wetherby junction on Saturday at 2pm.
Two people were taken to hospital suffering from minor injuries and one was treated for shock.
A minute later crews were called to a single vehicle incident nearby on the northbound carriageway.
The driver was out of the car on arrival of the emergency services, but was later taken to hospital suffering from minor cuts and bruises.
