A MEETING of the Anglican General Synod in York was lobbied outside York Minster by activists calling for more support for the Palestinian people.
The church leaders spent yesterday morning in York Minster for a service.
At the same time outside, members of the York Palestinian Solidarity Campaign called on Synod members to recognise the Kairos Document.
Published in December by senior Christian Palestinians, the document calls on the international community to boycott products made in Israeli-occupied Palestine.
Terry Gallogly, secretary of York PSC, said: “We felt we were definitely well received by the people of York. People said “Thank you for being here”.”
