Jo Hodges fired in a 19-dart leg and a 24-darter from colleague Carole Layne gave Clifton a 2-0 advantage before Cygnet responded through Amanda and Michelle Britton.

Sue Lowery made sure Clifton entered the pairs on level terms, but the Britton sisters edged the home team in front before Hodges and Layne set up a decider.

Captain Lowery strode up to the oche to secure victory with Ruth Norman.

Ox captain Sandra Bruce gamed in 19 darts to close the gap to 4-2 at Cueball, who closed out a 6-3 win.
