SOMETIMES I despair and wonder if there are groups of society who are living in a fantasy world of their own, with the onset of a recession and unemployment rising.

For example, British Airways staff, Premiership footballers and managers, not withstanding some members of parliament, who consider the world owes them a living who are not prepared to bite the bullet in financial terms, and still expect the hard-pressed paying public, be it taxpayer or football supporter, to foot the bill.

Unrealistic pay demands with perks know no bounds when it comes to greed and self-interest.
