WHEN the FTR bus was introduced in York, a lot of work was done on the route they would take. Roads were resurfaced, new driveways were laid and parking bays built.
But it has come to my notice that Eason View, in Dringhouses, is once again being resurfaced. Is this because the original work was not good enough, or is the FTR not only unsuitable for the streets of York but also unsuitable for the road surface?
Some roads in Hollybank have not been resurfaced for years, long before the FTR was introduced. Some of our streets have more potholes than road surface and after the recent hard winter we were promised that roads would be examined and where necessary potholes filled in.
Any chance we will get ours done before next winter or before the road surface disappears altogether?
