Stamford Bridge In Bloom committee has been raising cash from its annual plant sale.
The fundraisers have raised more than £350 this year and the money will go towards the committee’s work around the village.
More hanging baskets have been put on display as well as flower tubs at entrances to the village with villagers encouraged to “adopt a green space” to cultivate and maintain.
Meanwhile, in Dunnington, pupils from Dunnington Primary School planted a large bed of flowers as part of their contribution to brightening up the village this summer.
