YORK Cricket Club Under- 15s warmed up for their upcoming encounter with County Durham champions Greenside with a thumping victory over Sheriff Hutton Bridge in the semi-final of the York and District Junior Cricket Association U15 President’s Cup.
Batting first, York compiled a massive total of 196-2 with both Sam Beales and Felix Adams retiring with 50 and 51 respectively.
To further swell the total, Sam McCullagh scored 47 and Matthew Swaddle a cameo knock of 29.
Sheriff Hutton Bridge started their reply losing their first wicket without any score on the board and slid to a 115-run defeat, being all out for 81.
York skipper Chris Burn, pictured above, turned in an excellent display with the ball, capturing 3-12. He was ably backed by the Clifton Parkers’ attack and fielders.
