ACOMB ‘A’ finished the season unbeaten in Zone ‘A’ of the York & District Junior Cricket Association Burn & Company Solicitors Under-11s League.
The York side (343) beat Bolton Percy (270) with eight of their ten batsmen reaching double figures.
L Bellerby top-scored with 17 and Ben Botterill made 15.
Stancliffe took 2-10.
Bolton Percy’s Dominic Knowles made 12, Fraser Strachan 13 and Andrew Shepherd 19.
Tadcaster Magnets (261) won at Bishopthorpe (238) to go third.
Magnets’ M Sidebottom finished with figures of 3-13, while R Lowe scored 22 not out and Jack Barker made 17.
In Zone ‘B’, Jay Snowden made 24 and took 2-1 as Osbaldwick (326) ended the season with a home win over Ovington ‘B’ (210).
Sheriff Hutton Bridge (269) beat Dunnington ‘B’ (203) to move into contention for a play-off place.
Cameron Hird made ten runs and took 2-11, Dan Cass made ten and Harry Sutcliffe took 2-9.
Heworth (169) did well to restrict a strong unbeaten York (245) thanks to bowlers Fergus McAughtrie (2-7), Louis Brown (2-16) and Ryan Whitley (1-6).
Brown then hit 18 for Heworth.
York’s Sam Elliott made 22, Cameron Burdass 11 and Robbie Brown 11.
Ted Patmore ended with figures of 3-2, Sam Elliott took 3-4 and Alex Martin claimed 3-5.
Unbeaten Zone ‘C’ leaders Dunnington ‘A’ (338) saw off close rivals Pocklington (246) to home in on the title and the play-offs.
Alex Wilson, Rosie Todd, Jacob Smith, Tom Loten, Will Jones and Harry Littlewood all made it into double figures with the bat, while Todd took 2-10.
Dunnington (281) followed up with a win at Yapham (215).
Keon Williams and Loten both hit 13 and Hayden Bradley 11.
Todd took 3-7 and Ellie Chipps 2-2.
Yapham’s Callum Moody took 2-11 and Will Cardy top-scored with 17.
Londesborough Park (261) secured second spot with a win over Wheldrake (220). Rory Stephenson scored 14 and Jake Hemsworth ten, with M Crowther taking 2-6.
In the semi-finals of the Burn & Company Solicitors U11s Cup, Heworth (235) got the better of Sheriff Hutton Bridge (224).
Brown top-scored for Heworth with 13 and Will Huffer made ten.
Harry Sutcliffe took 2-7, Cameron Hird 1-3 and Dan Cass 1-4.
Bridge’s Archie Stevenson made eight runs in the face of some economical bowling from Heworth’s Josh Bell (1-4), Huffer (1-5) and McAughtrie (1-5).
