If our so-called traffic planning experts at City of York Council ever reconsider plans for reducing the number of traffic lanes in Blossom Street, may I suggest they do a site visit on the morning that the brewery wagon makes a delivery.
On Friday, between 7am and 8am, such a delivery was being made.
The wagon was parked on the inside lane in front of the Queen Street traffic lights.
This cancelled out the filter into Queen Street and traffic was backed up as far as The Fox in Holgate Road and down The Mount as far as one could see.
Why can’t the brewery be asked to park the wagon round the corner in Queen Street and do the delivery from there, or is it too far for them to push?
