THESE traditional Bhangra dancers entertained pupils at Millthorpe School, in York, as part of an International Day.
The event followed a community cohesion morning when Year 7 pupils learned about the customs and traditions of countries of non-UK nationals living in York.
Workshops gave an insight into the cultural and traditional diversity of India through the art of Bhangra dancing.
Volunteers from the York Japan Society also gave a flavour of Japanese culture, demonstrating the art of kimono dressing and origami.
Ivan Noble, the school’s international co-ordinator, said: “Pupils have been given the opportunity to learn about the cultures and traditions of other countries as well as being shown the importance of community cohesion as a first step in welcoming non-UK nationals to York.”
