RESIDENTS across North Yorkshire are today on flood alert after weather experts predicted heavy rain for the region.
The Met Office said there was a “moderate risk” of severe weather in the area, and said more than two inches of rain could fall today in a short space of time, which may pose a danger of localised flash flooding.
Sunny spells and scattered showers were forecast for tomorrow.
