Strensall finally broke their duck this season with a home victory over Starbeck, who had new boy Andy Chapman winning 16 games. Pat Atkinson and Chris Evans top-scored for Strensall with 22.

Division three leaders Appleton Roebuck had debutant Geoff Bullock winning 25 games in a comfortable 64-44 home defeat of Castlegarth 2. Title-chasing York 2 and Knaresborough also won to open up a big gap between them and fourth-placed Sutton-on-Derwent.
