A YORK theatre group has collected more than £500 for charity.
The Flying Ducks Youth Theatre group presented a cheque for £520.06 to SNAPPY from the proceeds of a charity collection at their production of Half A Sixpence, performed at the Joseph Rowntree Theatre last April. Stephen Outhwaite, director of the group, said: “Each year the Flying Ducks Youth Theatre takes a charity collection at their annual production. “When we were rehearsing Half A Sixpence it was decided that SNAPPY would be a worthy young persons’ charity and the group were keen to help them with their fundraising.”
Carol Farrow and Sue Clayton, of SNAPPY, were delighted to receive the cheque. They said the money would be spent on a day trip to the seaside during the summer holidays.
