PEOPLE wanting to go in the County Stand at York Races on Saturday will have to buy their tickets in advance as none will be available on the day.
It is the first time York Racecourse has made no County Stand badges available on the day of racing itself.
The move has been made due to a record level of advance sales, possibly caused by the X-Factor finalists who will be entertaining the crowds once the day’s racing has finished.
Grandstand badges will be for sale on the day and both kinds of badges will be on sale for tomrrow’s racing.
James Brennan, head of marketing at the racecourse, said: “We are delighted that the combination of top quality racing, investment in facilities and the added entertainment of the X Factor stars seems to be a winning formula.”
