Skip nonsense REGARDING the man being prosecuted for removing rubbish from a skip (The Press, July 15), if it is not wanted by the people placing it there, then surely it is not wrong to take anything from a skip.
Then I read that such refuse is the property of the people who put it there or the owners of the skip.
Say I have a skip outside my house and people put their rubbish into my skip, can they be prosecuted for dumping rubbish on my property?
Also, dustbin men empty bins, which is our rubbish, then place it into a refuse wagon owned by the council. Say they take anything, can they be prosecuted for stealing the property of another?
Where would it stop? I don’t think I am on my own in what I say. A lot of people will agree.
