Having bemoaned the disappearance of summer elsewhere in this week’s New Homes supplement, we are here offering up a prayer for fine weather this Sunday.

That’s because Hogg the Builder is holding what could be a fun event at its Low Farm, Kirby Grindalythe development.

Visitors the this delightful countryside collection will be treated to a glass of Pimm’s while enjoying a tour around the site and the super show home.

And if that is not enough to entice you to take a run out into the country, then Hogg are offering some tremendous cashback offers on homes at the development.

If you reserve a new home at Low Farm before August 31 you could get up to £15,000 cashback (that’s £5,000 if you spend up to £300,000; £10,000 if you spend between £300k and £400k and £15,000 if you spend over £400,000).

We’ve waxed lyrical about this marvellous development in the past but it is certainly worth a recap of what is on offer.

This is a courtyard development of ten exclusive three, four and five- bedroomed homes, priced from £229,950 to £449,950, set in a peaceful Yorkshire Wolds village eight miles from Malton.

The setting is fantastic, tucked away in a lovely village famous for its ancient St Andrew’s Church, which houses a unique gilded Italian mosaic depicting the Resurrection, and for the Cranedale Centre, a nationally renowned environmental studies centre.

All of the house styles here are independently individual, and to get a full look at what’s on offer you should either pop down to the development this weekend or contact the marketing suite.

But, here is a taste of just three of the house styles on offer… The Granary is a three-bed end terraced house which has a breakfast kitchen, a dining room, separate sitting room and ground floor cloakroom. The master bedroom has an en-suite and there are two further bedrooms served by a Jack and Jill bathroom. There is a detached single garage and a carport and landscaped gardens.

The Deanery, meanwhile, is a semi-detached three-bedroomed house, the highlight of which, on our view, is the huge 21ft kitchen dining room.

And then there is the Steadings, a four-bed detached house which has a dining room and separate sitting room, a big breakfast kitchen and a master bedroom with en-suite and three further spacious bedrooms. Here, there is an integrated garage and landscaped gardens. All of the houses have impressively high specs which include integrated stereo sound systems and Sky connection to all TV points, Rangemaster cooker, granite worktop and ceramic floor to kitchens, solid oak flooring to hallways, feature fireplaces, security alarm systems and remote-control garage doors.
