THESE young stars from primary schools across the city competed to win the chance to perform at York’s Grand Opera House.
Talented youngsters sang or danced in front of an audience of more than 130 people at the Mini Idol contest, which was hosted by David Lloyd health centre, in Hull Road.
The competition was run by Micklegate Safer Neighbourhood Team and Safer York Partnership as a spin-off to Community Idol.
The three winners will open the grand final of Community Idol on Saturday, August 28 at the Grand Opera House. They are Harry Clowes, of Scarcroft Primary School, Natalie Leaper, of Wigginton Primary School, and WAJE from Dunnington Primary School, made up of Ethan Formstone, Joel Barwick, Will Jones and Alex Jones.
