RESIDENTS in York and visitors to the city will have the chance to get in touch with their wild side at a storytelling event next month.
A series of tales will be performed by Joanne Blake at the York Explore centre, in Museum Street, on Friday, August 6, paying homage to novelist Denys Watkins-Pitchford, also known as BB.
Joanne’s appearance will see her weave together folk tales, passages from BB’s novel, Wild Lone, and snippets of the writer’s life to explore how humans are seen through the eyes of a fox.
The event, which is not suitable for under-12s, is part of the City of York Council-organised Explore Story series of activities for adults, with tickets costing £5 and available by phoning York Explore on 01904 552828, or directly from the centre.
