A MOTORCYCLIST has been killed in a collision with a car on an East Yorkshire road.
The tragedy happened at about 4.05pm today on a stretch of the B1246 at Barmby Moor, and the road remained closed this evening as Humberside Police launched an investigation into the crash.
The closure has led to motorists travelling between Barmby Moor and Pocklington having to seek alternative routes. Police have said they are not yet in a position to reveal any details about the biker who was killed.
The crash happened between the A1079 and Yapham Road and anybody who witnessed it should contact Humberside Police on 0845 6060 222.
In a separate incident, two motorcyclists received minor injuries after their bikes collided in Market Weighton at about 11am today. Paramedics were called to the scene but neither rider needed to be taken to hospital. Fire crews used soil to mop up fuel which spilled onto the road following the crash.
