With reference to the proposed development of Clifton Hospital, I would like to say what is really sad and disappointing with the submitted plans, is the destruction of “Rosedale Lawn”.

This has the most incredible ecosystem of birds, insects, wildlife, etc.

It will almost certainly be lost as a consequence of this development, and with so much “less attractive” land and pre-existing buildings on this site already, would it not have been better to design the extension to sit elsewhere? Why destroy the only green space that the hospital residents could enjoy?

With some imagination and security considerations “Rosedale Lawn” could provide an amazing garden, open space and leisure facility. Essential, we believe, in aiding recovering from mental illness.
