SO York City FC will not ban vuvuzelas (The Press, July 24) and yet they will stop me from taking a plastic bottle of drink into the ground with a cap on as it could constitute a danger.
They will allow me to take a vuvu into the ground with which I could bash someone over the head, if so minded.
For years the older supporters in the Longhurst stand have had to put up with foul language, flag waving and drum bashing, and now they want us to put up with a continuous drone of vuvus, which will not be so loud in the directors’ box.
Why does City have to be so different from all of the other top clubs that have banned them. Perhaps when I collect my season ticket they will issue me with ear plugs as well.
