TWO charities in York have received a cash boost from the Co-operative Group’s Community Fund.
York and District Mind, which helps people aged over 16 who are affected by mental health issues and emotional distress, has been awarded a £2,000 grant, while SNAPPY, a charity offering activities for children and young people with special needs, has received a £500 grant.
Meanwhile, SNAPPY will be using its grant to fund a six-week project, during which 15 young people with special needs will learn the skills they need to set up a restaurant for a night.
Application forms for funding are available online at co-operative.coop/membership/Community-Fund or phone 0161 827 5879.
