A MOTORCYCLIST killed in a weekend crash on an East Yorkshire road has today been named.
The man who died in the collision with a car on the B1246 near Pocklington on Sunday afternoon was John Trevor Nield, 47, of Wynthorpe Granary, North Dalton.
Mr Nield suffered fatal injuries in the crash, which involved his grey Triumph bike and a grey Toyota Prius and happened at about 4pm, and was pronounced dead at the scene. The motorcycle was travelling away from Pocklington and the car was heading in the opposite direction at the time.
Mr Nield is believed to have overtaken a small white care just before the collision and Humberside Police have urged the driver of that vehicle to come forward as they continue their investigation.
