A VICTIM of a “deliberate and malicious” act of vandalism is appealing for witnesses to come forward to help catch the criminal responsible.
The York resident, who does not want to be named for fear of reprisals, said more than £1,000 of damage was caused to her car when she popped into a supermarket to buy a sandwich.
She said she had only been gone a matter of minutes in the Tesco Supermarket at Askham Bar, but when she returned to her bright blue Suzuki Swift somebody had scraped a key along it several times. She asked anyone who witnessed the incident, at noon on Wednesday, June 30, to contact police.
