A MOTORCYCLIST who was killed in a collision with a car on an East Yorkshire road has been named.
John Trevor Nield, 47, of North Dalton died in the collision on the B1246, near Pocklington, at 4pm on Sunday.
Mr Nield was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which involved his grey Triumph bike and a grey Toyota Prius, and was pronounced dead at the scene. The motorcycle was travelling away from Pocklington and the car was heading in the opposite direction at the time.
Mr Nield is believed to have overtaken a small white car shortly before the collision. Witnesses should phone North Yorkshire Police on 0845 6060 222.
