Selby will take on York RI Amateurs in the final of the York Amateur Bowling Association Williamson Cup.

Selby were 81-59 winners over Haxby Road in the last four, while RI beat Nestlé Rowntree 70-69 in a tight semi-final.

The final will be played over 21 ends at Dunnington on Monday, August 2, 6.30pm for a 6.45pm start.

RI and Nestlé were level going into the last end and Tony Cox’s rink won the game for Amateurs.

Aside from their cup success, Selby also enjoyed an 8-0 victory at Shipton to give them a 22-point lead in division one.

They are also still in the County Marshall Shield, keeping them on course for a memorable treble.

Burnholme beat West Park 90-71 to reach the final of the Freedom and Fellowship Cup, where they will play Shipton after their 80-58 win over Bootham.

The final will be played over 21 ends at RI’s Ashton Lane base on Monday, August 22, at 6.30pm for a 6.45pm start.

Despite two cancelled fixtures, Bootham still lead division two by two points.

Osbaldwick have gone top of division three for the first time after a 6-2 win over City Amateurs.

Harrogate, their nearest rivals, saw their game against Dunnington cancelled due to bad weather.
