IN reply to the letter Monkey business, in The Press of July 24, I am sorry to disappoint D Cutting, but it was never called Monkey Bridge as stated.
It was the Glass Bridge, a wooden structure completely covered in glass.
My brothers and sisters and I lived in Burton Stone Lane since 1959. I am 80 years old and my eldest brother is 90 years old in December. None of my family know it by that name.
