I HAVE noticed that there are potentially three Costa coffee shops planned for York. Am I alone in thinking this is just too much?

Surely our council should be looking to preserve the uniqueness of our city centre and not be allowing it to be filled with carbon-copy coffee shops.

Our history is what attracts visitors to our city and makes us proud of where we live – not the fact that we have a grandee, skinny latte with cherry sauce available to us on every corner.
